Emirates Geriatrics Society – Scientific Meeting (23 September 2025)
The Emirates Geriatrics Society held its scientific meeting on 23 September 2025 at the Marriott Jaddaf Hotel, Dubai, bringing together clinicians and allied health professionals for an engaging and informative evening.
The session opened with remarks from Dr. Salwa Al Suwaidi, President of the EGS, followed by two focused and well-received presentations. Dr. Sunita Sahu, Consultant Geriatric Psychiatrist, Mediclinic Hospital, Dubai delivered an update on dementia assessment and advances in pharmacological therapies, while Dr. Walaa Yusif, Specialist Geriatrician, Medcare Hospital, Dubai presented practical insights on frailty assessment and management.
The event generated excellent interaction, with attendees actively discussing clinical challenges and sharing experiences. The strong turnout and positive feedback reflect the continued growth and commitment of the geriatric community in the UAE
